Swancraft is a small boatyard situated in the village of Brundall, Norfolk, some six miles from Norwich on the River Yare. The yard has good access by road and rail, Brundall Station is only 400 yards away. A meandering dyke leads to the river and access to the rest of the premier inland waterways. The Broads consists of 150 miles of rivers and 10 broads (lakes) all of which are navigable, all the rivers and broads are tidal which makes the wildlife more varied for the size of the area. It is possible to see mammals including seals, voles, foxes, deer and otters if you are really lucky, and many species of birds including kingfishers, grebes, waders and marsh harriers dependant on the season.
Swancraft Cruisers is family run boat hire and boat building business, with the help of a small team of dedicated staff, we offer Luxury boating holidays to a very high standard. We pride our boats on cleanliness, maintenance and instruction should it be required. New boats are added to the fleet at regular intervals and boats already in the fleet are updated and refurbished as necessary to give a modern well-designed and equipped range of cruisers for hire at competitive prices. All the boats in the fleet have 12volt electrical system for the basic running of the boat and are supplemented by 240volt system which includes a microwave, toaster, vacuum cleaner, hair dryer, iron, TV with either a DVD or video, and some boats have a bath or even a whirlpool bath as well as a shower, over half the fleet has a bow thruster for easier handling and a number of boats have full central heating with radiators.
